Gingerbread FREEBIE

Word problems are always so fun to do!  We have Math Journals that are composition notebooks.  Up to this point, I've been using DeeDee Wills' Daily Math Journals and they are fabulous.  But because our theme is gingerbread I wanted to make the word problems connect to the stories we're reading- The Gingerbread Cowboy, Gingerbread Man, Gingerbread Girl, and The Ginderbread Pirates. So, I created these freebie word problems.  I use labels (Avery 5351) sometimes to just stick in the notebooks- super easy for my little kinders and no messy glue sticks.  So, the freebie has 2 versions- a label version with 30 per sheet and a table version with 24 per sheet.  Gingerbread are so fun!  Hope you can use these word problems.  There are 2 samples below.  Click on the links here to get the Labels  or the  Table versions.

Counting by 1s, 5s, and 10s FREEBIE

I am tired of counting!  And, quite frankly, bored with all the counting activities I have.  So, I decided to make these cute cards that I am going to use at a math center or small group activity.  There are three sets- counting by 5s, counting by 1s to 50, and counting by 10s.  Easy to make and I can use them in lots of different way.  It's a freebie at my TpT and TN store.  Here's the link to TpT -Counting by 5s, 1s, and 10s

 Happy Counting!

Holiday Number Bonds

http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Holiday-Number-Bonds

Our district curriculum map spends the first two quarters on the Kindergarten CCSS Counting and Cardinality standards and the second half of the year focusing on addition and subtraction.  And, by now, we've counted, counted and counted some more and we're tired of counting!!!  It's time to move on to bigger and better math skills.  Just in time for holiday fun, right?  I am hoping these number bonds that I created will be the perfect transition to some beginning addition concepts.  They are a FREEBIE at my TpT and TN stores.  I also made these number bond work mats.  I am going to start with these and work our way into Holiday Number Bond center activity.   Number Bond Work Mats
Hope this might be something that you could use!  Oh, BTW, I am only TWO followers away from 100 on my TpT store.  I would love it make it to 100 by Thanksgiving.  If you like anything you see here, can you help a girl out and become a follower of my store?  Thanks!

Beginning Addition FREEBIE

It's hard to believe that I've been on Teachers Pay Teachers for almost a year now.  I think I started the weekend of Thanksgiving last year.  I have been cleaning up my old products lately in my spare time making them look better, adding things to them etc...  But as I was doing this, I came across a Christmas math game that I made for TpT last year before I really knew what I was doing.  It had all kinds of cute fonts I later realized I couldn't use without commercial licenses and the graphics I did use were just ugly freebies from Microsoft.  I think I had it up for a couple of days before I realized that I was violating copyrights. So, I decided to tweak it a little bit and upload it as a freebie.  It is a beginning addition game where the kinder make combinations of red and green presents to equal the number on a sleigh.  Here it is at my store Santa's Sets  It was a favorite holiday math center in my class last year.  I hope my kinders like it this year too!

Nonsense Word Christmas Trees

Wow, it's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is almost here and Christmas is right around the corner.  We're hard at work preparing our Kinders for the DIBELS test they will take in December.  It will be the first time for them to take the Nonsense Word Fluency test and we're all a bit worried about it.  This year our district changed our evaluation process and we have a portion of it that is performance based.  So, our little darlings need to do well on the tests! 85% of my students need to score CORE on the DIBELS Composite score.  That doesn't seem like a lot, but only 65% of them were CORE the first time around.  As a result of this, I am always looking for ways to make Nonsense Words fun for our kinders.  So, I made this cute game that I am going to use with a parent volunteer at a literacy station.  I am selling it at TpT and TN, but you can get a mini-version here. Wishing everyone a wonderful holiday season!
